Each LIink companion will benefit from a basic training. This training shouldn't last more than 90 minutes.

The Link Companion can upgrade his or her skills by acquiring new intervention methods. Following are three examples of training available through your regional or provincial suicide prevention committee.


Emergency suicide intervention (ASIST)
Two-day workshop  -  Training program to develop suicide prevention skills - participation fee.

 

 

SafeTalk
Three-hour workshop  -  The LivingWorks program helps identify individuals with suicidal thoughts in order to direct them to the appropriate resources - participation fee.

 

Suicide Talk
One-and-a-half hour talk  -  Exploration and awareness program for suicide prevention
